Gravlax Recipe. Gravlax is one of our favorite salmon recipes. I find gravlax is more tender and delicate than smoked salmon. Gravlax is very easy to make and is done in about 24 hours. Traditionally dill weed is used to flavor the salt/sugar cure but we prefer black pepper instead.
For the cure:
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 tablespoon salt
dill weed is traditional but I like black pepper
1 pound salmon fillet
Sprinkle the cure on the salmon and refrigerate 24 - 48 hours.
