Get busy

Refuse to wind up like this. Get busy!

"Oh how great is the interval between the conception of a great enterprise and its execution. What vain terrors! What irresolution! Life is at stake - much more is at stake: honor!" -- Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller

A surprising thing has happened. I've become bored with the Internet. Hallelujah! I have a life again. I read. I grow vegetables. I bake bread. I workout.

I write this just to let you all know that I'll be spending a lot less time blogging and much more time doing. It's become a matter of honor. In the future, when I do write, you'll read fewer posts about the daily news and many more useful stories from my practical experience or study. Posts about gardening, food storage, recipes, gear, fitness and survival. For me, it's back to basics, folks.

You see, a funny thing happened when I shut off the "information overload" last night. I gained a whole new perspective on live - get busy living or start digging. Either way, be productive. That's my challenge to myself. I can only hope some of you will feel compelled to do the same. I'm sure the world will be better for the effort. I know mine will.

Until next post, you have my humble thanks for reading thus far and my sincere wish for your own personal epiphany, whatever that might be. - covertress

Guess I'll have to read the archives

Happy gardening!

Way to go, Covertress! Look forward to the new insights you have to share. In the meantime, I'm amused at how the supplies on this makeshift raft consist of very little substance. We need to store food and water -- the basics!
