Though September 9, 2009 is on the next page of everyone's wall calender, the internet is already buzzing about the day - and not just because the Beatles’ remastered albums will be released. The talk is about terror.
Terrorists often pick meaningful dates to schedule their attacks. What's important to remember is that the dates terrorists choose are significant to them. Though the numbers 9/11 mean a lot to us now, and we might see a connection to "911" meaning "emergency", we shouldn't attach any significance to that. Neither should the United Kingdom fret over 9/9/09 or associate the day with its own emergency number, "999".
One could argue that September 9 may still be a meaningful day to a terrorist. So, let's examine what has happened on that day in terror history.
Fortunately, The National Counterterrorism Center has produced an excellent interactive calendar that marks dates according to the Gregorian and Islamic calendars, and contains significant dates in terrorism history, as well as dates that terrorists may believe are important when planning “commemoration-style” attacks.

Just as I suspected - nothing that would highlight 9/9/09 as a significant terror threat day.
Of course, there's always the possibility that a British domestic terrorist might select 9/9/09 for just that "999 emergency" reason...

In an astounding revelation, Al-Qaeda extremists have claimed that home-grown terrorists are plotting to attack targets in Britain.
According to reports, in an internet magazine read by thousands of Islamic extremists Al-Qaeda has labeled Britain and Europe as a bigger enemy than the United States.
It further says that the strikes are being planned by terrorists living in Britain and others overseas, and warns of “spectacular attacks”, 'The Sun' reports.
