Dissent From Day One

Dissent From Day One

Edited from Pirates of The Caribbean 3 : At World's End

Hoist the Colours

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colours high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.

Yo, ho, all hands,
hoist the colours high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green!

The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colours high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Spread the wealth word.

In case you haven't noticed, I've been in a movie/music metaphor mood lately.

This clip (political rant) is my way of saying that we must dissent in order to preserve our freedom of speech, our Supreme Court and the Second Amendment.

Like the Spanish reale coins in the movie, I have chosen my own reale as a symbol of spreading the word -- "dissent from day one".

I hope you enjoy my little Saturday matinee. - c
